We’re Rachel and Van Aarde Pretorius — partners in life, parenting, and now, in building something we couldn’t find but desperately needed: Flexbox.
Like so many, our story began during the pandemic. We were working from a small two-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles, raising a toddler with endless energy — and struggling to fit in time for our own health. The gym was closed. Our space was limited. And every piece of home fitness gear we tried was either bulky, unattractive, or underwhelming.
The gym was out. Home equipment was either bulky, unattractive, or ineffective. We needed something compact, stylish, and powerful — a complete workout system that didn’t take over our home or our time.
So, we built it.
What started as sketches on our kitchen table became a full-scale solution: Flexbox — a beautifully designed, all-in-one workout bench that delivers over 300 exercises and seamlessly fits into your living space.

Every Flexbox is handcrafted in South Africa, where Van was born and raised. It’s thoughtfully designed to blend form, function, and modern living—made with premium vegan leather, brushed gold finishes, and luxe details.
